Binozyt® Sandoz. Each coated tablet contains 500 mg azithromycin. Binozyt® 200mg / 5ml Each 5 ml of the prepared suspension contains 200 mg azithromycin. Indications. Acute bacterial sinusitis. Acute bacterial otitis media. Pharyngitis, tonsillitis. Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. Mild to moderately severe community-acquired pneumonia. Skin and soft tissue Infections. Cervicitis and urethritis by uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis. Dose. Adults. In cervicitis and urethritis by uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis, the dose is 1,000mg in a single oral dose. Other indications, 1,500 mg, to be administered as 500mg daily for three consecutive days. Alternatively the same total dose can also be given over a period of five days with 500mg the first day and 250mg from the second to the fifth day. Contraindications. In patients with hypersensitivity to azithromycin, erythromycin, any macrolide or ketolide antibiotic or any excipient. Warnings. Severe liver disease. Impairment of severe renal function. Patients with proarrhythmic conditions. Adverse events. Headache, vomiting, abdominal pain, nausea. CDS 2016.
